Youd be surprised how these small changes can make a big difference in the flavors.
Whenever I make it, everyone always asks me for the recipe.
Most of the ingredients used in this recipe are pantry staples.
Its super easy to prepare and tastes absolutely incredible.
Serve it on Holidays or weekend dinners with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, ormac and cheese.
Step 2:
Place a pan over medium heat and add butter.
Once melted, add the diced onion and saute for a minute, then add the garlic.
Saute for another minute.
Remove from the pan and set aside for later.
Sauteing garlic and onions before adding to the meat is the first secret.
Step 3:
In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, mustard, and ketchup.
Mix until well combined.
Step 4:
The second secret is using extra lean ground beef.
Mix until well combined.
Step 5:
The third secret is using half and half instead of milk.
Add it to your beef, followed by the egg and breadcrumbs.
Mix until well combined.
Step 7:
After 30 minutes, remove from the refrigerator and form your loaf.
Transfer your loaf to a wire rack placed on a baking sheet, then spread the sauce on top.
Place in the preheated oven and allow it to cook for 1 hour.
