Add butter, onions, and carrots and saute for about 5 to 7 minutes until soft.

How to Make Broccoli Cheddar Soup

Add the garlic and cook until fragrant for about 1 minute.

Lower the heat and add the flour.

Cook for a minute until it turns golden.

Pour the low-sodium chicken stock and the broccoli.
