Grease the bottom and sides of a 9-inch springform pan with butter, then set aside.
Step 2:
In a large heatproof bowl, add butter and chocolate.
Place in the microwave and set it in 30-second increments, stirring each time until both are completely melted.
Once done, add the egg yolks and whisk them together.
Step 3:
Beat egg whites until soft peaks form in a large bowl.
Then add granulated sugar in batches, and continue whisking until glossy stiff peaks form.
Add 1/4 of the egg whites into the chocolate mixture, then whisk to mix.
For the remaining egg whites, fold gently.
Let it cool completely on a wire rack, then remove the sides of the pan.
