Step 2:

Lay them on your design board, 5 columns with 7 rows.

For this design, she used colors that match the rainbow.

Step 3:

Get one of the sets.

On the back of the white squares, draw a diagonal line from one corner to another.

Place the white squares on top of each colored square.

Sew a quarter inch on each side of the line.

Step 4:

Cut both on a diagonal line.

Next, decide which arrow is going up and going down.

One seam should go in one direction and one in the other.

you’ve got the option to use sticky notes so you will remember the directions.

Step 5:

Once all are pressed, trim the corners.

Sew them per row first, then the center seam.

Do the same for all of the remaining sets.

For the second arrow, flip them around, so they are pointing down.

Continue alternating directions of the arrows until the last column.

Sew them together by columns first.

Step 8:

Cut 2 1/2 inches and 8 1/2 inches from the background fabric.

Sew the 2 1/2 squares on each of the edges of the 2 1/2 by 8 1/2 strips.

Sew them together, then make another one.

After that, sew them on the top and bottom of the quilt.
