Step 2:
Add flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
Beat on medium speed until its light and fluffy for 3 minutes.
Gradually add the sugar while beating for about 2 minutes.
Next, mix in the lemon juice and zest, then add the eggs one at a time.
double-check it is well combined before adding another one.
Stop mixing and scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
Step 4:
Turn the mixer to low, then alternately add the flour mixture and milk.
Once mixed, pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
Once done, remove it from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
Step 6:
Make the glaze.
Whisk the powdered sugar, lemon juice, and milk in a medium bowl until smooth.
Drizzle it over the cooled pound cake.
