This Amish folded star quilted hot pad is so beautiful.

I am so in love with this project byCrouton Crafts, especially the colors gradient colors he chose.

It may look complicated, but its actually easy and quick to make.

Fold it again in half by bringing the points together.

Press again to make a crease.

Step 3:

fire up the fabric and trace the creases on the back of the fabric.

On each line starting from the center, mark 1 1/2 and then 3/4 from that point.

From that last point, mark at 3/4 and followed by another 3/4.

Step 4:

Cut the 4 fabrics into squares.

Fold it again in half to make a crease.

Take one corner on the folded edge and bring it straight up in the middle.

Do the same on the other corner.

Secure it with a pin.

Get another piece of the smallest square and set it aside.

Repeat the folds with all of the other 27 squares.

This will be the center fabric.

The raw edges should line up.

Sew it in place with a quarter of an inch seam allowance.

Repeat with the remaining triangles of the same color to fill the square.

Step 8:

Take the square fabric scrap and place the sewn square in the middle.

It should line up with your 1 1/2 mark.

Step 9:

Take one piece of the second fabric.

ensure that the points are aligned.

Repeat for the remaining 3 sides.

Take another triangle and sew it on the open corner.

Again, ensure the raw edges are aligned with the second mark on the fabric.

Repeat for the remaining corners.

Step 10:

Do the next rows the same way.

Step 12:

Place it on top of the batting and backing fabric.

Step 13:

Quilt it in between the folds of the triangles.

Step 14:

Trim, bind and add a handle.
