Place a cast iron skillet over medium-low heat and melt the butter.
Once melted, add green onions and saute until fragrant for about 5 minutes.
Step 2:
Turn off the heat then remove the skillet.
Add the cream cheese and sour cream and stir until smooth.
Stir to combine, then season with salt and pepper.
Step 5:
Place it inside the preheated oven then bake uncovered for 20 minutes.
To make the top golden, broil it for 2 minutes until the cheese is brown.
Let it cool slightly then garnish with green onion.
Serve it with chips or toast.
