Stack 2 pieces together then cut them in half.
Get another one and cut into half twice to get 4 pieces of 2 1/2 squares.
For the last one, cut it into a 4 1/2 square.
Step 2:
For the background fabric, you need 2 1/2 squares and 4 1/2 squares.
Stitch each background square to the printed square.
Once done, press them open.
Step 4:
Cut the 4 pieces of printed rectangles into 4 1/2 by 2 1/2 pieces.
Sew each one to the side of the 2-patch.
Now you have the corner blocks.
Step 5:
Arrange the blocks.
Sew them in rows of three.
When sewing, verify that the white parts touch.
Next, sew the three rows together.
Iron the top, then flip it over, and press the seams.
You need 4 blocks across and 4 down, for a total of 16 blocks.
The outer border measures 5 inches.
Just cut the block into half twice to make 4 small squares, then flip the opposite two.
