Take your ruler and cut a 2 & 1/2 strip off the edge.
Turn your square and cut a 2 & 1/2 strip off the top.
Do this to your whole pack.
Next, take the 7 & 1/2 squares, mix them up, and sew the borders back on.
(You want those borders to be scrappy and stand out so mix up the borders also.)
Lay those right together and sew with a 1/4 seam allowance.
Press it afterward, then add the side piece.
Lay them again right sides together and sew a 1/4 seam allowance.
Press it also afterward and trim the excess fabric.
Youre going to have six across seven rows (6 x 7).
After arranging your squares, sew the squares together.
