If you love cooking Asian cuisines, you probably have most of the ingredients you need in your kitchen.
Serve it with freshly cooked white rice, blanched vegetables, or noodles for a complete meal.
Step 2:
Add the water to the pot and bring it to a boil.
Once boiling, add pork, ginger onion, and garlic.
Cook for about 3 to 4 minutes, then remove the pork from the water.
Place on a plate lined with paper towel.
Discard the remaining water and vegetables, then clean and dry the pot.
Step 3:
Place the pot back on your stovetop and add oil.
Heat it over high heat.
Add the pork back into the pot and cook until browned.
Be careful as the oil may pop.
Step 4:
Add brown sugar, then turn the heat to low.
Stir continuously until melted and caramelized, coating the pork evenly.
Step 5:
Pour the water and stir.
Place the lid and cook for 45 minutes at a low simmer, not boiling.
ensure to check and stir every 10 minutes or so.
Add water if it gets dry.
If its too runny, continue stirring uncovered until the liquid has reduced.
Step 7:
Serve it immediately over a rice bow, then top with sliced green onions.
