You dont need to cut your own fabric piece by piece.

you could find a lot of free quilt patterns online that use precut fabrics.
If youve ever tried using a pack, I am sure youll agree how convenient they are.
The only downside is that they can be expensive.
If you are on a budget, they might not be the best option.

Draw a diagonal line from corner to corner.
Sew 14 away on both sides of the line, then cut directly on the line.
Press each one open.
Now, you have 2 half-square triangles.
Repeat the same process for the remaining 5 3/8 squares to make a total of 4 HSTs.
Sew a diagonal line from corner to corner on the small square.
Sew directly on the line, then trim excess.
Repeat on the other top corner.
Sew one 3 12 x 2 rectangle on the bottom.

Repeat with the remaining pieces to make a total of 4 units.
Step 3:
Assemble the pieces just like in the photo below.
Sew them in rows first.
Once done, sew the rows together to make the block.
