Mix everything together until well combined.
Step 3:
Add the egg yolks and sugar to a double boiler or glass bowl.
Combine them with a whisk then place them over a pot of simmering water.
check that the water does not touch the bowl.
Whisk until the sugar dissolves and it turns light yellow.
Step 4:
Transfer the egg yolk mixture to the mascarpone and whisk until well combined.

Mix it on low setting for about 30 seconds, then slowly increase speed to high.
Beat until the whipped cream stiffly peaks.
Be sure to keep an eye on it.
Step 6:
Fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
Arrange them in a 9 x 13 dish.
There should be no gaps between each piece.
Step 9:
Add another layer of dipped lady fingers, then add the remaining mascarpone mixture.
Step 10:
Dust the top with cocoa powder, then place it in the refrigerator.
Let it chill overnight.
