It remains one of the most-loved patterns up to date.
Its super easy to sew as it only requires half-square triangles.

Draw an X on your background square from corner to corner.
Repeat for the remaining squares.
Step 2:
Cut it in half in the middle horizontally and vertically to get 4 squares.
Next, cut them on diagonal lines.
Now, you should have 8 half-square triangles.
press them open with an iron.
Repeat for the remaining squares.
Next, make the legs of the pinwheel longer by placing matching half-square triangles.
After that fill the remaining spaces with the same half squares.
The points should come together.

Step 4:
Sew the pinwheel first with a quarter of an inch seam allowance.
Next, sew the outside half-square triangles.
Iron them and sew the top and bottom rows first.
After that, sew the sides on the pinwheel.
Press it with an iron.
Sew the top and bottom to the center row.
Press them flat with an iron.
Step 5:
Repeat steps 3 to 4 with the remaining half-square triangles.
You should have 20 blocks.
For this quilt, you need 4 blocks across and 5 down.
This will be a 74 by 90 quilt.
Step 6:
Add a 5-inch border and quilt.
