Step 2:

Get one background square and one colored square.

Place them right sides together lined up in the corner.

Sew on the colored square diagonally from corner to corner of the outside edges.

Do the same on the remaining background squares.

Press the fabrics toward the star points.

Try not to work it back and forth too much, as theyre on the bias.

Step 4:

Get one unit and one colored square.

Place the colored square right side down on the opposite side of the triangle.

Sew it diagonally from corner to corner just like the first one.

Do the same on the remaining units.

Step 5:

Trim an approximate quarter-inch seam allowance on the corner of the units.

Press the fabrics toward the star points.

Step 6:

Arrange the units just like in the photo.

Step 7:

First, sew them in rows then press the fabric with an iron.

After that, sew the whole block together.
