This crossing paths quilt byMissouri Starmight look tedious, but its actually not!

I made this pattern several times and enjoyed making all of them.

Once done, press it flat.

Sew it with a quarter of an inch seam allowance.

Step 3:

Fold the unit, right sides together, then sew the edges together.

double-check to line it up and do not stretch it.

Step 4:

Trim off the end.

Cut 2 1/2 strips from the tube.

You need five of these strips for each block.

Take one, go to the dark piece, and take out the seam.

Loosen up about every five stitches.

Get another one, hold onto the black, and count one back to the other color.

Take out the seam between those two pieces.

For the next one, move 2 from the black and remove the seam between them.

Repeat the process with the remaining two, move 3 for the fourth and 4 for the fifth.

Iron each of them.

Step 5:

Sew them together into a block with a quarter of an inch seam allowance.

You need 5 blocks across and 6 down for a total of 30 blocks.

When you combined four blocks into a big block, it will form a diamond.

After that, when you arrange the big blocks, a square will form between each diamond.
