Making your own crust instead of using premade ones really makes a big difference!

Break it apart as much as you might.
Step 2:
Add the onion and garlic and cook until translucent.
After that, add the spices/herbs and cook for about 1 to 2 minutes or until fragrant.
Stir, bring it to a simmer, then turn the heat to low.
Continue to cook for about 20 minutes or until the liquid has reduced.
Taste and adjust seasonings if needed.
Step 4:
Make the crust.
Add all dry ingredients and olive oil to a food processor.
Blend while adding water until it is well incorporated and forms into a ball.
Transfer it to your work surface and knead for about 2 minutes.
Step 5:
Cut the dough ball into 2, then roll each into a ball.
Cover and let it proof at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Press and roll out the dough into an 11-12 diameter circle.
Step 6:
Make the sauce.
Get a large container and put all of the sauce ingredients in.
Mix with an immersion blender until well combined.
Step 7:
Pour 3 spoonfuls of sauce onto the crust and spread evenly.
