I think its a brilliant way to use your fabric scraps.

Some of them are way too cute to end up being used as fabric stuffing.

Making these fabric bookmarks is incredibly easy and quick, perfect for beginners.

Fabric Bookmark Materials

They are great for gift-giving and stocking stuffers this holiday season.

Take your pattern and place it on top.

How to Make Fabric Bookmarks

Cut the fabric using the pattern as the guide using a rotary cutter.

Step 2:

Take a small ribbon and fold it in half.

Place it on the top middle of the front fabric, with open ends lined to the edges.

Sew all around the edges of the unit, but leave a small opening.

Trim the excess batting and background fabric.

Step 3:

Flip it right side out, between your background and front.

Fold the opening inside, and iron it.

Step 4:

Top stitch all around the edges.

This will also wrap up the hole.
