Hot air balloons always remind me of the olden days when people used them for travel.
Its always amusing to see one, especially if its designed like the classic ones.

Its incredibly easy to make, and you could customize and design it however you like.
Want it to be colorful?
Go ahead and choose a different lantern and use yarns instead of jute twine.
Be as creative as you want.

Step 2:
Coat the lantern with Mod Podge.
Step 3:
Paint the small basket with brown.
Use wet tissue to thin out the paint so it looks more natural.
Cut 8 pieces of jute twine with that measurement.
Step 7:
Glue jute twine around the lantern horizontally 1/3 from the top.
Next, measure from the top of the lantern to the horizontal jute twine.
Cut pieces of jute twine with that measurement and glue them between the vertical strings.
Cut small pieces of jute twine and place a wooden bead inside.
Glue the ends between the vertical twines.

Step 8:
Make four small sandbags using fabric scraps and jute twine.
Glue them on four sides.
