Repurposing or upcycling them is better than just throwing them away.
As I was searching, I found this DIY doormat using old jeans byArtKo Pointon Youtube.
It really caught my attention as the shape is unusual and its very interesting.

The number of pieces depends on how big you want your floormat to be.
Fill the inside with fabric scraps.
check that not to fill it too much.
Continue with the blanket stitch until its all closed.
Repeat several times to make tons of circle patches.
Step 4:
Take 7 circles and form into a flower with one in the center.
Continue arranging the other circles around.
verify not to put any spaces in between each circle.
Step 5:
Glue them in place on a big fabric scrap using fabric glue.
Be sure to secure the ends firmly.
you might also stitch them together too instead of using glue.
Step 6:
Cut the excess fabric on the base and let it dry completely.
