It will level up your room and make a big difference.
It may look complicated, but trust me, it is not.
Its actually easy, and the steps are repetitive.
The flower has different layers of fabric petals, making it look like a blooming flower.
It has a contrasting texture, creating balance and adding more visual interest in a room with smooth surfaces.
Watch the video below for the full instructions.
Place the plate upside down on the center of the square and trace it.
Step 2:
Take one of the white squares and fold it in half diagonally.
Place in the sewing machine.
Sew from one tip to the opposite side, scrunching it up as you go.
See the photo below for reference.
Repeat with the other white squares.
see to it they do not overlap.
Sew them in place.
Place them on the black fabric, not on top of the petals.
Sew them in place.
The diameter of the circle should get smaller as you add layers.
Repeat until the last layer only has 3 petals.
Step 5:
Get some fabric scraps and wrap them with a black fabric scrap.
Use a thread to keep it tied.
Cut the excess fabric, then hand stitch on the center.
It should be big enough to cover the center of the flower.
Step 6:
Cut two pieces of rectangles from the black fabric.
Fold one of the short edges of the two rectangles twice then sew.
Place them on top of the flower, right side together.
The sewn edges should be facing the center.
Sew on all edges.
