Yellow jackets are similar to honey bees in color, but they are not the same.
These insects are predatory social wasps that are more aggressive and can sting more painfully than bees.
They are sensitive to sound and vibration, so check that not to go near their nest.

For the homemade solution, you only need water, sugar, and apple juice.
Step 2:
Add sugar, water, and some apple juice to the bottle.
Place the cap back and shake until well combined.
The amount of sugar must be equal to the amount of water and apple juice combined.
Step 3:
Cut the bottle on the mark using a pair of sharp scissors.
Step 4:
Take the top part then create small holes on the side.
Place it upside down on the bottom part of the bottle.
Repeat 2 times on the other sides.
This will secure the top part in place.
Step 6:
Place the trap in areas where you often see yellow jackets under the shade.
To make it work faster, add bakers yeast to the solution.
