This pattern byJordan Fabricsmay look complex and hard to sew, but its actually not.
Even beginners can easily make this simple design.
Donnas five-star quilt is only made using half-square triangles (HST).

Youll need 72 light and 72 dark 5 charm squares.
Get a light 5 square and draw a diagonal line on the back side from corner to corner.
Cut on the drawn line to get two half-square triangles.
Open then press the seam allowances toward the darker fabric.
Cut dog ears and trim them to measure 4 5/8 square.
Make a total of 144 HST units.
Step 2:
Make the star blocks.
Get 16 half-square triangles and arrange them as shown below.
Sew into rows, and sew the rows together.
Press seam allowance in alternating directions.
Repeat to make five stars.
Step 3:
Make the chevron blocks.
Arrange 16 half-square triangles as shown below.
Sew them into rows, then sew rows together.
Be sure to press seam allowances in alternating directions.
Repeat the process to make four blocks.
Sew into rows then sew the rows together.
Steam press it very flat.
Step 5:
For the inside border, cut 6 at 2 width of the fabric.
Sew around all four sides of the quilt.
For the outside border, cut 7 at 4 1/2 width of the fabric.
Sew around on all four sides.
Quilt, then bind.
