Place them, right sides together, with the background on top.
Press them open toward the dark side.
Square them into 4 1/2 squares.
Step 2:
Get one 2 1/2 colored strip and a 2 1/2 background strip.
Sew them together on one side.
Make another one with the same matching color but a different fabric.
Cut 2 pieces of 4 1/2 units from each strip unit.
Sew them in rows first.
Iron the first and third rows in the same direction and the middle in the opposite direction.
Sew the rows together.
It should be 12 1/2.
Step 4:
From your same strip sets earlier, cut 12 1/2 pieces.
Place them on the sides of the block.
confirm the whites are on the outside.
Next, add the remaining half-square triangles on the corners.
see to it the background fabric is facing outward.
Sew them on rows first.
Press the seams just like in step 3, then sew the rows together.
