This double disappearing 9-patch block variation byTeresa DownUnderis one of my favorite beginner-friendly blocks.
Its super easy and quick to do and only requires 5-inch squares.

Step 3:
Cut one 2 1/2 strip off each side of the first 9-patch block.
Repeat the same process with the second block.
Step 4:
Swap the strips over the two blocks.
So the strips from the second block will go to the first block and vice versa.
Step 6:
Get one block and mark the middle for each side.
Next, cut them in half in both directions.
Rotate the top left and bottom right 180 degrees.
Pin in pairs and sew them with a quarter of an inch seam allowance.
Lastly, sew them together.
Repeat the process with the second block.
