Half-square triangles are one of the most popular quilt blocks, offering endless possibilities.
Some designs simply cant be completed without using HSTs.
If you are just a beginner, I suggest mastering half-square triangles first and then exploring other patterns.

Each block is entirely made of HSTs, and youll need 16 pieces per block.
This quilt isfatquarter-friendlyand doesnt require any background fabric.

Once done, cut directly on the diagonal.
Open each one and press towards the dark side.
You now have two half-square triangles.
They should measure 4 square.
Repeat this process with the same fabric squares to create 32 pieces of half-square triangles.
Sew four rows with 4 HSTs each, then sew the rows together to complete the duplicity quilt.
It should measure 14 1/2 square.
The block will just be the same, but the colors are swapped.
Step 4:
Create 2 blocks per colorway.
Step 5:
Lay the blocks in 4 rows with 4 blocks each.
ensure to rotate the direction of each block.
