Heres an easy 3D blockhead quilt block byRevelation Quilts.

At first glance, it may look hard to make, but trust me, its not.

You will be amazed at how simple the steps are.

My sewing friends were in awe when I showed the finished quilt to them.

Draw a diagonal line from corner to corner.

Sew a quarter inch away from the line on both sides.

Next, cut directly on the line.

Press toward the black side, and trim them into 4 1/2 squares.

Now you have two half-square triangles.

Step 2:

Arrange the blocks into a four-patch, as shown in the photo below.

Sew them in rows first with a quarter of an inch seam allowance.

Press towards the solid piece of fabric.

Once done, sew the rows together with a quarter of an inch seam allowance.

see to it the seams nest up.

Step 3:

To make this quilt, you need four blocks across and five down.

For the borders, use the same background fabric to make it look like the blocks are floating.
