Everyone can do it at home!

You dont have to cut the pieces one by one.

Checkered Dresden Quilt Materials

It comes together easily and quickly.

Instead of using one fabric for each plate, use a four-unit strip.

It is made by sewing four different strips together.

After that, use your template to cut the dresden plates.

The steps are very easy to follow I am sure you wont have a hard time finishing this quilt.

Press it flat, then iron the first two out and the next one as well.

Repeat with four different strips.

Cut on both sides.

Cut on the other side.

Repeat the process for the whole unit, and with the other four unit strips.

Step 3:

Get one dresden piece and fold the large end in half, then sew.

Repeat with the other pieces.

Push the tips back to make the points.

Step 4:

Arrange them just like in the photo below.

Sew them in fours, so you will make 5 sets.

Once they are sewn in sets, sew them together to make the circle.

Step 5:

Fold the 22 square in half two times.

Place the dresden on top, making sure it is centered.

Pin it in place.

Step 6:

Cut a circle from the border fabric and interfacing.

Place them right sides together and sew all the way around.

Make a cut on the center of the interfacing and turn it right side out.

Place on top of the center of your dresden and press flat.

Sew with a blanket stitch.
