Youll do the same process for each layer except for the bottom part, which is the trunk.
Even beginners can easily follow the steps.

If you dont want a quilt, you might also turn the blocks into a table runner.

Turn on some Christmas music when you make this pattern, and you will surely feel the Holiday spirit.
Get one white rectangle and the green rectangle.
Open and press toward the white.
Repeat the process with the other side of the green rectangle.
Step 2:
Repeat step 1 until the fifth layer.
The fourth and fifth layer will be the same.
It should measure 12 1/2.
