Hourglass patterns are one of the easiest blocks that are perfect for beginners.
It is made by combining four half-square triangles to make a square.
Any beginner can easily finish one block with ease.

The only thing that you’re gonna wanna consider is the orientation of each HST.
If you rotate one in the wrong direction, you will make a different pattern.
You definitely dont want that to happen.

Place them right sides together and sew all the way around with 1/4 seam allowance.
Step 2:
Cut diagonally in both directions from corner to corner.
Press them open toward the dark side to get four HSTs.
Step 3:
Arrange the four half-square triangles to make an hourglass pattern.

Sew them together with a 1/4 seam allowance just like a four patch.
verify to line the seams.
Step 4:
Cut 2 1/2 squares from the background and border fabric.
Draw a diagonal line from corner to corner on each one.
Place a background square on each colored corner, then colored square on each background corner.
Sew directly on the diagonal.
Trim 1/4 away from the seam, then press open.
you should probably make 6 rows with 6 blocks each.
check that to arrange them in the same direction.
