Pinwheel blocks are probably one of the most famous quilt blocks.
If you search online, you will find a lot of pinwheel patterns.
Most of them are easy to make and are perfect for beginners.

The common pinwheel block is made of four half-square triangles that are sewn together like a four-patch.
For this pattern, you will be using rectangles instead of squares.
The process is very similar to making half-square triangles.
It might look harder to make, but trust me, it is not.
It is an easy and fun project just like a normal pinwheel block.

Take a ruler and draw a diagonal line for each one just like in the photo below.
see to it every line is pointing in the same direction.
Step 2:
Sew directly on the lines and cut the excess.
Open and press toward the dark side.
Step 3:
Sew them in pairs along the long side with the diagonals connecting.
confirm to match the colors for two blocks.
Step 4:
Arrange the four squares into a four-patch just like in the photo below.
Sew them in pairs first, then sew them together to make the block.
confirm to nest the seams.
Press the block flat and you are done.
