This might look hard to make, but trust me its not.

You will surely be surprised how easy this pattern is.

Its called the snail trail patchwork quilt block.

First, you should probably make a four-patch for the center then the next steps are just repetitive.

The sides are made from triangles sewn all the way around.

I love how unique and simple this is.

Even beginners can do this piece!

Sew on one side with a quarter of an inch seam allowance.

Press the seams and flatten the top.

Step 2:

Cut the rectangles in half and make a four-patch.

Sew them together with a quarter of an inch seam allowance.

Once done, press the seams flat.

Place the triangles on the sides of the four-patch just like in the photo below and sew them.

Press it flat and trim off the excess.

Place the triangles on the side of the block just like in the photo below and sew.

Once done, press it flat again.

Step 5:

Repeat step 4 with the 5 1/2 squares.

Just double-check you follow the right arrangement with the printed fabrics connected.

Once done, press the block flat and trim off the excess fabric to turn it into a square.
