Combine 1/4 cup of water and 5 tbsp cornstarch and mix them together.
Now, place the pot on medium heat and bring it to a boil, mixing it occasionally.
Once boiling, turn down the heat to medium-low and add in the dissolved cornstarch.
Stir and let it simmer for about five minutes.
After it has thickened, turn off the heat and let it cool down for ten minutes.
Once done, transfer the strawberry filling into the baked pie crust.
After chilling, cut into slices the garnish the top with whipped cream.
