Heres a super easy and quick summer fireworks quilt byBrita Nelson the Questioning Quilteron Youtube.

This is my favorite patriotic block so far I super love the red and blue pinwheel stars.

Its perfect for beginners or if you just want something that can be finished in an hour or so.

Step 2:

Arrange the blocks.

Get one red-white HST the red triangle should be on the bottom left.

Place one blue-white HST beside it with the blue triangle still in the left corner.

Next, place another red-white HST on the bottom of the first red-white HST.

The red triangles should connect to form a diamond.

Do the same with the remaining blue-white HST.

Both diamonds should slant to the left.

Sew them together in diamonds first, then after that, sew them together to create a harlequin block.

Step 3:

Arrange four harlequin blocks with blue corners to the center.

Sew them together and flatten them to make a pinwheel star motif.

When you sew the multiple motifs together, the red pinwheel starts to emerge.
