This quilt block only requires one roll of 2.5-inch colored strips.

Yes, thats all you should probably make a block.
It starts with a 4-unit strip that is then cut into squares.
The instructions are super easy to understand, so theres no need to worry.

Sew them together with a 1/4 seam allowance to make a 4-unit strip.
Press the seams open and the unit flat.
Step 2:
Rotate the strip unit.
Remove the selvage edge of the fabric.
Cut 8.5 squares from the unit strip.
Step 3:
Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the other colored strips.
Sew all the way around the edges with a 1/4 seam allowance.
Step 5:
Cut the block from corner to corner, creating an X.
Open each one and press it flat.
Step 6:
Rotate the block to make it a square and arrange.
Rotate the top left and bottom right so that a small triangle forms in the middle of the block.

Sew the four pieces together with a 1/4 seam allowance and press it flat.
Repeat the steps 4 to 6 with the remaining squares.
Sew the blocks together to form a quilt top.
