(Check every few strips if the 60-degree angle is accurate and adjust if necessary).
Cut strips again at 2 & 1/2 intervals.
After you all have your strip set, cut them again in half at a 60-degree angle.
Start assembling them once youve cut all your pieces (see the picture below).
Once youre satisfied with the layout, sew them in strips, then sew the strips together.
