One of my favorite quilt patterns is this fancy friends quilt fromMissouri Staron YouTube.
I love this pattern so much and I think it looks gorgeous with bright-colored fabrics.

Trim them after sewing, then press open.
Then, cut eight 2 1/2 squares from your accent fabric.
Do all the tops one way, then do the bottom part exactly the same.
(This is the opposite of how you made the earlier strips).
Trim them, then press open.
Repeat these until you have all the pieces needed.
Once done, start laying out the block.
Alongside your friendship star strip, put an accent block on each one.
Sew them, then turn one unit, and sew them together.
(See the picture below).
Repeat these, making two more units, to complete the friendship star with accent block.
Make more blocks to make your desired quilt size.
