Baste the pocket all the way around with an 1/8 seam allowance.

Sew the binding on the top of the sewn pocket.
double-check to sew on the square top end not on the rounded bottom.
Do the same for the remaining pieces.
Step 2:
Get the back of the pot holder right side up.
Lastly, place the batting with metal on top.
Pin in all together.
Trim off the excess batting.
Find the lining to lining layer, then pull it right side out.
Take the bottom and top pocket and flip them inside out.
Trim off the excess and you are done.
