When you sew the blocks together, circles will form, which looks like an optical illusion.

It is not as difficult as you might imagine.
Its actually easy and quick to finish one block.
You dont have to cut circles or curves.
Save this sewing project for your next quilt!
Cut a 5 by 10 rectangle.
Set aside the half.
Take the other half and cut into 2 pieces of 5 squares.
Place the colored rectangle to the background squares, and the background rectangle to the colored squares.
Fold the rectangles in half crosswise wrong sides together to make a crease.
Step 2:
Take the folded background rectangle and place it on one colored square.
Sew a 1/4 down the side.
Do the same thing with the opposite colors.
Step 3:
Press the square back, then fire up the folded rectangle.
It should form a triangle.
Do the same for the other unit.
Step 4:
Flip them over and trim the excess on the bottom.
Step 5:
Fold them over again.
Fold the edge of the triangle to make a little curve, then sew right along it.

Repeat to the other side.
Do the same for the other unit.
Step 6:
Arrange the two units just like in the photo below.
