If you are not into complicated designs, try this pattern byMissouri Star.
This is called the four patch frenzy quilt.
As the name suggests, the block is made of a four patch and a rectangle.

Its a super easy project that you’re free to finish in a weekend.
Cut each black and white fabric into 9 pieces of 2 1/2 strips.
Get one strip of black and one strip of white.
Once done, cut them into 2 1/2 units.
Put them on the iron board dark side up, set the seams, and press them open.
This will help the seams nest perfectly.
It should be a 4 1/2 square.
Trim them if needed.
You need 75 pieces of four patches.
Step 2:
Make the rectangles.
Get the 10 squares and cut them into 4 1/2 strips.
Repeat with the other rectangles.
double-check that your four patches are going in the same direction.
Step 4:
Arrange the blocks.
Put them in alternating directions.
One four-patch down and one four-patch up repeat the alternating pattern until you have 15 blocks across.
Repeat the process for the other rows.
You will need 5 rows for this quilt.
Once done, sew the rows together.
After the quilt top is done, add a four-inch border all the way around.
