After this, cut out eight 2 strips.

Making the first block for the friendly hands quilt

Once done, make two sets of four-patch.

After this, sew a 1/4 seam from either side of that line, then cut it.

Press them open afterward, then trim them to 3 1/2 squares.

Making the second block for the friendly hands quilt

Do these to four sets, making eight half-square triangles.

Step 2

Now, start assembling the first unit.

Lay them out according to the picture below.

Once done, sew these two sets together, and press them open.

After this, sew these sets together to create the first unit of the block.

Once done, sew these two sets together, and press open.

After this, sew these two sets together to make the second unit of the block.

Step 4

Finally, sew these units together to make the final block.
