This half-square table topper is definitely one of my favorite projects.
I found this pattern onLiza Decors YouTube channel and instantly fell in love with it.
Its super easy to make and only uses half-square triangles and little squares.

I know a lot of you will love this design, too, so I am sharing it here.
It will be perfect for your dining or center table.
Watch the video below for full instructions.
Take two squares and place them on top of each other, right sides together.
Draw a diagonal from corner to corner.
Sew 1/4 away from the line on both sides.
Cut directly on the line, then press each one open.
Trim into 3 x 3 squares.
Repeat with other squares.
You will need 12 HSTs.
Set the remaining HSTs into pairs, then place them on each side of the four-patch.
Take the 3 squares and place them on the corners.
verify the lines are aligned.
See the photo below for reference.
Step 4:
Sew the pieces in rows first.
Once done, sew the rows together to make the block.
Step 5:
Sew the block on top of the batting, then quilt.
Step 6:
Take a square background fabric big enough for the block.
Fold it in half and cut.
Sew the two pieces together, leaving an opening in the center.
Place the block on top, right side down.
Sew along the edges, then cut the excess.
Flip it right side out through the opening.
