As the title suggests, this only uses HSTs.
They are arranged in a way that creates this beautiful diamond pattern.

Place them right sides together.
Sew all the way around the outside edge with a quarter-inch seam allowance.
Step 2:
Cut it diagonally from corner to corner in both directions.
Trim the half-square triangles.
Find the diagonal line on your ruler and line that up along the seam.
confirm the outside edge of your block is on the 6 1/2, then cut the excess.
For the corners, flip the triangles the darks should be pointing outward.
Repeat the process for the next layers.
Sew them together by row, then press them flat.
Flip them over and press the seams, making sure they are going in one direction.
