We love serving it with toasted bread and butter.
It is scrumptious perfect for breakfast with a hot cup of coffee.
It only takes 5 minutes to prepare!
No canning or preserving experience is required to make this jam.
Step 2:
Mash using a potato masher to bring out the juices of the blackberries.
Do not mash it too much.
Do not use a blender as you dont want to turn it into a liquid.
Step 3:
Peel the apple, remove the core, and cut into squares.
Place in a microwave-safe container and microwave for a few minutes until fork tender.
Alternatively, you’ve got the option to steam it.
Mash the apples using a fork.
You need 1/3 cup of cooked apple.
Step 4:
Add the mashed apple to the mashed blueberries.
Let it come to a light boil and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until it starts to thicken.
Step 6:
Pour the flour mixture into the jam while continuously stirring.
Bring it to a light simmer, then cook for another 2 to 3 minutes.
Once thickened, remove from heat.
Place the lid then store in the fridge.
