Give this quilt pattern a tryI am sure youll have fun making it.
If youve madeDresden platesbefore, this quilt project will be easy.
Flip them, and you have the blades.
Sew them together to make a half circle.
The last thing you gotta do is to cut a small half circle for the center.
Get one 5 strip and lay it so that the long side is facing you.
Take your template and place it on your 5-inch strip.
Slide it over the edge and cut on both sides to get the blade.
After that, flip your template, align it to the diagonal, and cut it on one side.
Repeat with the other 5 strips.
You need 10 blades for each block.
Step 2:
Get one blade and fold it in half on the bigger end.
Sew with a 1/4 seam allowance.
Nip the folded corner.
Flip it using your thumb to get the Dresden blade.
Repeat to get 10 blades.
Step 3:
Sew the blades together with a 1/4 seam allowance.
see to it they are lined up when sewing.
Step 4:
Place it on the bottom of a 14 background square.
Pin it in place.
Step 5:
Make a 4 1/2 circle on the heat n bond and complimentary fabric.
Sew them together with a 1/4 seam allowance.
Cut it in half then clip it a few times on the curves.
verify not to cut through the stitch line.
Flip it right side out.
Place it on the center of the Dresden plates and press with an iron.
Step 6:
Sew the half circle and the blades with your preferred stitch.
