when you’ve got all of them cut, trim twenty 5 squares down to 4 1/2 squares.
Youll end up with two 4 1/2 half-square triangles.
Sew the blocks together to form rows, then the rows together to complete the 8 1/2 quilt block.
Repeat these steps until you have a total of ten quilt blocks.
Once done, lay the first row of the quilt top with the flying geese pointed to the left.
For the second row, rotate the blocks 180 degrees to have the flying geese pointed to the right.
Lay the quilt top in two rows with five blocks within each row.
