Heres an easy trick byKen KanFixthat you might do using a piece of paper and pencil.
This method should work for most locks.

Hold it with your one hand.
The idea is to find where the flat part is.
Using a pencil, turn the first number lock, one digit at a time with your other hand.
confirm you are gently pushing the paper down while you turn the number.
Once you see that the line goes down a little bit, thats the right digit.
Repeat it with the other numbers.
Some combination locks used to have a line that you might see through the gaps.
Step 3:
The flat part of the barrel normally has to be on the opposite side.
This will turn the flat part of the barrel to the opposite side.
Now give a shot to open it.
If it doesnt open, it means that the flat part is not in the right position.
