Remove the yellow, wilted, and broken leaves.
Trim off the ends with scissors and clean the white part as well.
The cleaner the scallions are the longer they will stay fresh.
Shake off excess water.
You dont have to dry them completely.
Step 3:
Fill a jar or cup with 1/2 inch clean water.
Place the scallions inside with the roots touching the water.
Step 4:
Take a tall plastic bottle and cut the top part.
Use it to cover the scallions.
You dont have to perfectly seal it.
Place in the fridge.
