These are made from quarter square triangles and arranged into blocks to form squares and crosses.
The only thing that you oughta pay attention to when making this block is how you cut the fabric.
You want to ensure the stripes are exactly aligned.

Fold it the opposite way so the selvages are on the side.
You want the stripes to line up exactly, then fold it again one more time.

Cut it in half diagonally in both directions.
