This project only requires simple materials such as oil, food coloring, and water.
No need for fire to start it up.

It is completely safe, so you dont have to worry.
Since the ink is heavier than oil, the colored drops will begin to sink.
Once they reach the water, the food coloring starts to dissolve, creating colorful fireworks.
Try doing this experiment with the kids this January 1st.
Step 2:
Add two tablespoons of olive oil in a container.
Using a fork, slightly mix the colored dots and make them into smaller dots.
Step 4:
Slowly pour the oil and food coloring mixture into the water.
Some fireworks will go off right away.
Wait until the food coloring starts to go down.
