But dont worry DIY with Daveis here to help you ripen green tomatoes indoors.
He made an experiment at home to see what method of ripening tomatoes works best.
Tomato experiment
He started by dividing the green apples into four groups.
He put three of the groups into a paper bag and the last one in a bowl.
Then he added an apple to the first bag, and a banana to another bag.
He did not add anything to the third bag.
The bowl of tomatoes was just left on the counter.
He left them for a week.
For the bag with just tomatoes, there were four fully ripe.
In the bowl, there were nine fully ripe tomatoes, making it the best option.
Based on the experiment that he did, this is the method that worked best.
Sunlight and heat can help them ripen over time.
Once some of the tomatoes are ripe, remove them from the group and consume them immediately.
